Notes: Born James Smith, Mr. Dale began his career as a comedian at age 17 and continued to entertain troops after he joined the Royal Air Force. After his service, he recorded music and hosted a radio program; by 1966, he began working in plays, eventually invited by Sir Lawrence Olivier to join the British National Theatre. Besides Harry Potter, he has voiced over a dozen other audiobooks such as "A Christmas Carol" and "Around the World in 80 Days". Mr. Dale was honored with the Member of the Order of the British Empire in 2004, and most recently, he was bestowed with the Order of St. George's Society. Mr. Dale has been a resident of New York for the past twenty-five years.
